How to Describe a Cloak

1. Draw the inner outline of the hood.

   To do this, sketch out a pear-shaped effigy.

2. Add the outer outline of the hood.

   On the left side, draw a rounded line of the same shape as in the example.

3. Depict one side of the cloak.

   Describe a long, smooth line down from the hood.

4. Add the other side.

   Echo the previous step and draw a long, smooth line on the other side.

5. Draw the leading border.

   Depict a smooth line down the middle from the hood.

6. Add the front end edge on the other side.

   From the same point, sketch out downwards some other smooth line.

7. Describe the lesser edges of the cloak.

   At this stage, sketch out wavy lines on each side.

8. Add together details.

   Describe a few thin lines to depict the folds in the material. Connect both sides of the cloak.

9. Colour the cartoon.

   Apply any color. Choose a light shade for the outside and a lite shade for the within.
